Naagzilla's Pack-Up: Kartik Aaryan's Shape-Shifter Saga Rolls On
Well, well, well, look what we have here! Kartik Aaryan, our busy bee of Bollywood, has officially wrapped up another big one. Yes, folks, the highly anticipated fantasy entertainer Naagzilla has finished shooting! March 16 was the final day, and while Kartik himself had already completed his portions a few days prior (typical for a superstar juggling multiple projects, right?), director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba called it a 'pack up' with the rest of the cast in Mumbai. There was reportedly jubilation on set, mixed with that bittersweet feeling of an adventurous journey ending. Honestly, I get it – these film sets become a second home.
Now that the cameras have stopped rolling, Lamba and his team are diving headfirst into post-production. This is where the real magic happens for a fantasy film, turning all those green screen shots into a full paisa vasool spectacle. Dharma Productions, led by none other than Karan Johar, is co-producing this with Mahaveer Jain's Mahaveer Jain Films. An interesting combo, I must say. KJo backing a fantasy film with Kartik? My curiosity is piqued, yaar!
Kartik's Packed Plate & Fresh Faces in Naagzilla
So, what's Naagzilla all about? Kartik Aaryan is stepping into some intriguing shoes – or scales, rather – as a shape-shifting naag. This is a bold choice for him, moving into proper fantasy after his recent success with Chandu Champion. If anyone can bring a quirky, relatable charm to a mythical creature, it's Kartik. Reportedly, the ever-dependable Ravi Kishan is playing the antagonist, which is solid casting. He brings a certain gravitas and intensity that'll be perfect for a villain.
And here's a fresh face to look out for: talented actress Preity Mukhundhan, who's already made a mark down South, is making her Bollywood debut with this film. Always good to see new talent getting a big break! We've also learned that Naagzilla is slated for an Independence Day 2026 release. That's quite a wait, but it gives them ample time to perfect those visual effects and deliver something truly spectacular. This also marks Kartik's second film with Karan Johar after their upcoming 2025 release, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. Clearly, this jodi is cooking up a storm!
What's Next for Bollywood's Golden Boy?
Kartik Aaryan, as we know, doesn't really take breaks. Even as Naagzilla wraps, he's already gearing up for his next, a yet-untitled sports drama directed by Kabir Khan. This one's reportedly inspired by Kashmiri kickboxing prodigy Tajamul Islam and reunites Kartik with Kabir after the critical acclaim of Chandu Champion. Seriously, this man is diversifying his portfolio like a pro. From sports dramas to rom-coms to now full-blown fantasy, Kartik is making some smart moves. Let's hope Naagzilla lives up to the hype and gives us a truly memorable cinematic experience in 2026. Pakka excited to see him as a naag!
